About Us

Since our formation in 1993 by our late founder Derek Mountney, seal & pump engineering has evolved from a small mechanical seal distributor, to becoming one of the UK’s leading specialist pump, mechanical seal, pump spares and ancillary equipment distributors.

The business remains family run by my-self and Derek’s grandson will, and we uphold the values and passion instilled in us by him over the years, assisted by a dedicated and professional team of staff. Couple this with our stockholding of products and ability to call on direct manufacturers resources, this enables us to provide and meet your engineering needs with speed, proficiency and cost effectiveness.
This is backed up by all of our sales staff having completed the BMPA essentials course for pumping, alongside the multiple years of experience and expertise within the industry of all of our team.

Today seal and pump engineering operate from two UK sites in Staffordshire and Yorkshire, offering ex-stock availability on a multitude of products, a workshop and service centre to meet any repair needs, and a projects department specialising in meeting every need beyond any day-to-day requirements.
